Tyler Onstad, Jake Larkin, Levi Larkin, and Hunter Gruchow wrestled in the Flat Earth MN USA state qualifier this weekend. What a great experience! There were many talented wrestlers wrestling in the Jackson, Mn High School gym on Saturday morning. The boys wrestled great but also realized they are still learning when it come to the greco/freestyle disciplines. It's great they are going out and giving their all in something they are not all completely comfortable in. These 4 boys are all new to the greco/freestyle world and they ran with some of Minnesota's best.
Jake Larkin 3rd Greco/4th Freestyle
Levi Larkin 1st Greco/1st Freestlyle
Tyler Onstad 2nd Greco/2nd Freestyle
Hunter Gruchow 1st Greco/1st Freetyle
Good Work Boys!!
From The MN USA Website:
Taking part in MN USA wrestling events is a great way to make some of the biggest improvements in the sport of wrestling. Spring is the time when most wrestlers start wrapping it up for the year. Most wrestlers take this time off and wait until fall to resume their wrestling career. Why? Unless you are playing in another sport like baseball or track & field why not keep "playing" in wrestling? And even if you are playing another sport why not wrestle in a few tournaments? You might practice twice a week in a local wrestling room (Alexandria) and keep "playing" with the sport so you can keep improving your skills.
